course and review because he has now 4 children to support and sustain their daily needs for their studies. On the other hand, it was his wisest decision to support his wife through college and become a teacher and was permanently employed at the Department of Education. Everything was going smoothly financially but as years passed they gradually began to feel the hardships when their eldest daughter started college and took up B.S. Nursing. They could hardly make both ends meet in their monthly budget. In order to save his daily transportation expenses, he rides his racer bike every day to his working place. He quit smoking to cut his expenses and it’s also good for his health. On Saturdays and Sundays, he accepts menial jobs in his neighborhood installing electrical connections in order to augment their family income. In anticipation to an upcoming financial burden, his wife made a crucial decision to sacrifice her permanent job as a government teacher. Quit teaching and apply as a domestic helper in Singapore in order to earn enough income to sustain their children’s education otherwise, their son who will graduate from high school the following school year will quit his studies.

His children are now influenced by their friends whose parents are also working abroad. Their demands are now geared to the latest trends such new apparels, branded cell phones and other unnecessary costly things. They begin to stay outside late at night with their friends and he tolerated it at first thinking that it’s their only outlet since they have no mother to care for them. Gradually, he observed that the situation is becoming out of control and they seem to lost interest in their studies. Their grades in school are going down. What he feared most is that his children might get hooked into drugs, God forbade! Drug abuse among teenagers is very rampant in our locality. One day he poured out to me all his sentiments and frustrations for allowing his wife to work abroad. He admitted that he can’t do what a mother can do to instill discipline and teach moral values to their children. He eventually asked advice for any solution I could suggest in solving his problems. “Okay, come with me” . . . I told him.

The following day the Smart Broadband Wireless Internet connection was installed by my crew. I installed the Creative Vista Pro webcam software to the computer. I also connected the VGA connector to the VGA ports of the TV and Laptop computer. Their TV set was already connected to their home stereo system. I only had to plug the Shure wireless microphone transmitter to the microphone jack of the Stereo tuner. After some adjustments, everything was ready. She contacted her lady employer who was generous enough to facilitate the purchase of the HP Pavilion Laptop by installment basis in Singapore and in seconds they were able to see her through the Laptop computer and the monitor display from their TV set. They had a brief conversation and also with the children through their wireless microphone. She was very glad to meet her family in real time and in virtual reality. At present we constantly meet each other through online home video conferencing. His nurse is now preparing to leave for the U.S. as a hospital staff nurse in Chicago; the next just passed the Electronics Communications Engineering Board exam; the 3rd is now graduating as an Electronic Engineer and the youngest is still in high school. His wife is still working as a domestic helper in Singapore and my friend is still riding his racer bike to his workplace everyday. In retrospect, our ambitions and dreams for our children’s future and family’s prosperity can be attained through responsible parenting, unconditional love and sacrifices, mutual trust, wholesome marital relationship among us parents even though some are far apart, and through Online Home Video Conferencing.
