    Webcam Software Installation









    There are lots of  Webcam models (wired or wireless) and brands available
    in the market today. Each has its own corresponding installation CD and it is
    included in the package when you purchase it.

    In this installation, as our guide, we are going to use Creative Webcam Vista
    Pro with a USB connector ,  which I have been using. Just follow the installation
    guide if you have purchased the latest model. It follows the same procedure. It
    will walk you through the steps until it is completely installed.

    Important: Do not connect the USB connector of the creative WebCam to the
    USB port of the computer before installing the drivers. If the connection is done
    and when you begin the installation, the Add New Hardware Wizard or Found
    New Hardware Wizard dialogue box appears, click the Cancel button and
    disconnect the USB connector.

    Creative Webcam Vista Pro Software Installation

    Place your PC, Webcam, headset and accessories in front of you. And now
    you are ready to start . . . Be sure to print this guide and follow the step by step
    instructions as you go along . . .

    Step 1: Insert the Creative Webcam Vista Pro Installation CD into the
    CD-ROM of your PC. If it does not run automatically, click Start →
    Run and type d:\setup.exe (replace d:\ with the drive letter
    of your CD-ROM drive).

    Follow the simple on-screen instructions. This installation CD
    will walk you through each step of the installation.

    Step 2: Select the region you are in and then click the Next button.

    Step 3: Select a language and then click the Next button.

    Step 4: Select the options for installing drivers and applications and click
    the Install button.

    Step 5:  When prompted, connect your Creative webcam’s USB cable
    connector to the USB port of your computer. Windows will
    automatically detect the device.

In Windows XP only:
    When the Found New Hardware Wizard dialogue box appears,
    select Install the software automatically (Recommended), and
    then click the Next button. When a Hardware Installation box
    appears, click the Continue anyway button.
In Windows 2000 only:
    When a Digital Signature Not Found dialogue box appears,
    telling you that your Creative Vista Pro webcam has been
    detected, click the Yes button.
In Windows Me and Windows 98 SE only:
    If you are prompted to insert the Windows Me or Windows 98
    SE CD, replace the installation CD with the appropriate CD. In
    the Insert disk dialogue box, click OK button.

    Step 6:  After you complete the installation, you may be asked if you want
    to restart your computer. Select No until all the applications are
    completely installed.

    Step 7: Restart your computer.
