    Instant Messenger Free Download

    To be able to start home video conferencing you have to download Instant
    Messenger. Free Downloads are available from the following services, to
    name a few:
  • Yahoo! Instant Messenger (8.1), Yahoo Messenger 9 is now available.
  • MSN Live Messenger
  • Skype

    We are going to download Yahoo! Instant Messenger (8.1) for this guide.

    Important: Be sure to print this guide and follow the instructions, step by
    step in front of your Desktop or Laptop PC as you go along . . .

    Step 1:

    When you click the POWER button of your computer, the Operating
    System, either Linux, Mac OS X , Solaris or Microsoft Windows
    Operating System, whichever  you are using will appear. Let's say
    for example, your are using Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows XP.
    In this browser window you can see several shortcut icons of the
    software installed in your computer. You can see Internet Explorer
    icon, MSN icon, Google icon  Yahoo! icon and many more which
    are already installed  to your PC.

    Go to Yahoo! Home page by double clicking Yahoo! icon . Click
    Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger icon on the right upper hand side
    of the page.

    Step 2:

    The Yahoo! Messenger (8.1) Download page will open. You,ll see -
    Friends are an instant away on Yahoo! Messenger (8.1). Click the
    yellow orange button-Download Now.

    Step 3:

    In order to download Yahoo! Messenger (8.1) completely, you have
    to follow 3 steps.

    Step A. Click Get Started to start downloading Yahoo! Messenger (8.1).
    Step B. When Yahoo! Messenger installation starts, save msgr8us.exe
    to your hard disk. After downloading is completed, open your
    Desktop and double click msgr8us.exe icon. Complete the
    instructions to finish the installation.

                    Step C. When Yahoo! Messenger (8.1) installation is completed Click
    the following to familiarize yourself of the different features offered
    by Yahoo! Messenger.
  • Find out what's new?
  • Invite a friend to use Yahoo! Messenger
  • Sign up for a Yahoo! ID.
    Step 4:

    After completely downloading Yahoo! Messenger (8.1),  Go back to
    the Microsoft browser Window by clicking File Menu and then Exit.
    Then, you'll find the Yahoo! Messenger short cut Icon. Double click
    this icon and your default Yahoo! Messenger dialogue box in your
    Microsoft XP browser window will pop up.

    In the Yahoo! Messenger dialogue Box look for the sub-headings:
    Messenger, Contacts, Actions and Help:    

    a. Click Messenger, and then click My Contact Details. Fill in the
    data about yourself. Click Save & Close.

    b. Click Contacts, and then click Add a Contact. Fill in the e-Mail
    address and add some more addresses of your friends. Click
    Save and Close. You may also Click Invite people to join . . . then
    the Invite People To Join Box will pop-up and then fill up your
    contacts' names and make your invitation. Once received, your
    contact's name will automatically appear in your Messenger
    Contact List.

    c. The e-Mail address of your friend or contact will appear in the
    Messenger List section, 4 lines below the headings, under Bro;
    and Friends: Friends  (1/nth). Just follow the Steps. You can get
    in touch with your friend until after she accepts the invitation.

    d. Click Actions, and then click Invite to View My Webcam. The
    dialogue box will appear and select a contact to view your webcam
    from the messengers list by highlighting the name of your contact
    then click O.K.
                                                                                                                  
    A Yahoo! Terms of Services warning box will appear, read, then,
    Click O.K., if you agree with the terms and conditions.                                     
                                                              
    e. My Webcam box will appear. This is where you can now see
    yourself and be sure that the Broadcast button is highlighted.

    This image is what will be seen by your friends or contacts in their
    own Desktop or Laptop PC monitor. If your contact clicks Accept
    from his monitor then you are now seeing each other and ready to
    start home video conferencing but still you have to do this . . .

    Access to Yahoo! Messenger by double clicking the e-Mail address
    of  your friend or contact you want to communicate in your Messenger
    List. The Yahoo Instant Message box will appear on the left upper
    side of your monitor and you’ll find:

    Call, Plug-ins,  Webcam, Games, Send File, Photos and
    Conference.

    Click Call and you’ll hear your Laptop PC rings and it will ring
    simultaneously in their PC also.

    If they are online and when Accept is clicked then you start
    hearing his/her voice. Next is for them to click Webcam and
    the My Webcam box will appear on the left lower section of their
    monitor and when he/she clicks Accept you’ll start seeing each
    other.  Your contact can adjust her/his monitor window to full
    screen by clicking the full screen icon on the right upper hand
    corner of their My Webcam box.

    Congratulations! You can now start your unlimited home video conferencing!
